Reaction Steps
30.37 g (562 mmol) of sodium methoxide are dissolved in 1.5 l of methanol, and 36.45 g (144.5 mmol) of 3-cyano-1-(2-fluorobenzyl)-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine (from example 1D) are added. The solution obtained after stirring at room temperature for 2 hours is employed directly for the next stage.
