Procedure

The product of Example 38 was reduced with sodium borohydride in 1:1 MeOH/THF and chromatographed (TEA-washed silica gel, 0–10% MeOH/DCM) to afford the title compound. 1H-NMR (CDCl3): δ 7.47–7.54 (3H, m), 7.28–7.37 (4H, m), 7.17 (1H, m), 6.99–7.06 (3H, m), 6.57 (1H, d), 5.19 (2H, s), 4.80 (1H, q), 3.76 (3H, s), 3.01 (2H, q), 1.48 (3H, d), 1.04 (3H, s); MS(ESI): 517 (MH+).

Workup

  1. customchromatographed
  2. wash(TEA-washed silica gel, 0–10% MeOH/DCM)
