Reaction Steps
To a solution of N-[(1S,2S)-1-amino-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-2-yl]-2,3-dichloro-4H-thieno[3,2-b]pyrrole-5-carboxamide (Method 9, 240 mg, 0.5 mmol) and Et3N (101 mg, 1.0 mmol) in DCM (4 mL) was added a solution of 4-methyl-1-piperazine carbonyl chloride (100 mg, 0.5 mmol) in DCM (1 mL). The reaction was stirred at ambient temperature for 2 hours, washed with saturated NaHCO3 (1 mL), water (1 mL), brine (1 mL) and dried (MgSO4). The volatiles were removed by evaporation under reduced pressure to give the title compound (110 mg, 45%) as a foam. MS m/z (M−H)− 491.
