2,3-Dichloro-N-{(1R,2R)-1-[(chloroacetyl)(methyl)amino]-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-2-yl}4H-thieno[3,2-b]pyrrole-5-carboxamide (Method 10, 100 mg, 0.22 mol) and morpholine (100 mg, 12.6 mmol) were dissolved in DCM, stirred at ambient temperature for 20 hours and the volatiles removed by evaporation under reduced pressure. EtOAc (10 mL) was added and the mixture washed with water (2×5 mL), brine (5 mL), dried (MgSO4) and the volatiles removed by evaporation under reduced pressure to give the title compound (60 mg, 54%) as a buff coloured powder.
