Reaction Steps

A mixture of 0.5 g. of 2-(4-chloro-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-1-naphthoxy)-3-chloro-5-aminopyridine and 5 ml. of toluene was heated up to 50°. To this resulting solution was added 0.52 g. of 2-chloro-6-fluorobenzoyl isocyanate in 6 ml. of toluene. The mixture was heated at 80° for 1.5 hours, cooled, and filtered to give 0.7 g. of white crystals; mp. 243.5°-244.5°.
