Procedure
A quantity of 3.57 grams (g) of ethylallyl amine (0.042 mole) plus 1.52 g of carbon disulfide (0.02 mole) was charged into a beaker containing 50 mililliters (ml) of ether. The reaction mixture was allowed to let stand for approximately 15 minutes and the volatiles were then stripped off, leaving behind a residue of 4.9 g of a yellow solid, which was identified by conventional analytical techniques as being the subject compound.
