240 mg of (2S)-3-{4-[3-(1,4,5,6-tetrahydropyrimidin-2-ylcarbamoyl)-propoxy]-phenyl}-2-(toluene-4-sulfonylamino)-propionic acid tert-butyl ester were dissolved in 5 ml of methylene chloride and 1.6 ml of trifluoroacetic acid/water (95/5). The mixture was stirred for 2 hours at ambient temperature. The solvents were removed in vacuo. The residue was triturated with diethyl ether, filtered and dried in vacuo. Yield 196 mg. MS (ES+): m/e=503.1 (M+H)+.
