Procedure

2,6-Difluorobenzoylisocyanate (3 g) in a 1:1 (v/v) mixture of toluene and petroleum ether (10 ml) was added to a solution of the compound produced by Example 3 (7.6 g) in the same solvent (15 ml), over 30 minutes at 15°-20° C. The solution was stirred for 6 hours at ambient temperature and the solvent was removed by evaporation. Column chromatography on silica using a 1:1 (v/v) mixture of diethyl ether and petroleum ether yielded the title compound as a gum (9.5 g).
