To the solution of (S)-benzyl 1,1-diethoxypropan-2-ylcarbamate 844 mg (3.00 mmol) in methanol 50 ml, 5% palladium on carbon 30 mg was added and stirred at room temperature for 2 hours under hydrogen atmosphere. The reaction mixture was filtered on celite and washed with methanol 200 ml and the mother solution was concentrated in vacuo to obtain the title compound 442 mg (100%).
