Reaction Steps
Following General Procedure J, triphenylphosphine (1.4 g, 5.2 mmol), methyl (2Z,4E)-2-azido-5-(4-isopropylphenyl)penta-2,4-dienoate (Compound 111, 1.4 g, 5.2 mmol) in diethyl ether (50 ml) were reacted to produce the title compound as a yellow solid.
