tert-Butyl (5S)-3-(1-hydroxy-2-methoxyethyl)-5-[{[1-(4-methoxybutyl)-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl]carbonyl}(2-methylpropyl)amino]piperidine-1-carboxylate (150 mg) was dissolved in 10-20%-hydrogen chloride methanol solution (10 ml), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 hr. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure to give the to object product (140 mg).
