After dissolving Compound A, which was obtained in Synthesis Example 1, in methanol, the anion thereof was replaced with methanesulfonic acid according to an ordinary method to give 2-((3-ethyl-5-(2-(3-methylbenzo[d]thiazol-2(3H)-ylidene)ethylidene)-4-oxothiazolidin-2-ylidene)methyl)-5-fluoro-3-methylbenzo[d]thiazol-3-ium mesylate (Compound D) as a dark-green solid.
