Reaction Steps
(R)-1-(3-Methoxy-4-nitro-phenyl)-piperidine-3-carboxylic acid was prepared in a in an analogous fashion to (S)-1-(3-Methoxy-4-nitro-phenyl)-piperidine-3-carboxylic acid of Example 460a replacing (S)-Piperidine-3-carboxylic acid with (R)-Piperidine-3-carboxylic acid. (R)-1-(3-Methoxy-4-nitro-phenyl)-piperidine-3-carboxylic acid was isolated as a yellow solid (955 mg, 88%).
