210 mg of tert-butyl 2-[[4-[[[2-[(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)amino]-2-oxoethyl](2-furanylmethyl)-amino]methyl]phenyl]thio]-2-methyl-propanoate are dissolved in 5 ml of dichloromethane and reacted with I ml of trifluoroacetic acid. The mixture is stirred at room temperature for 4 h and then concentrated and purified chromatographically (dichloromethane/ethyl acetate 50+1). This gives 187 mg of the title compound as a solid foam.
