(2R)-2-[(2-(4-Methoxyphenylthio)benzthiazol-6-sulfonyl)amino]-3-(4-(3-phthalimido-1-propyl)oxyphenyl) propionic acid methylester (0.196 g, 0.27 mmol) prepared in Example 61 was dissolved in THF/H2O (2 mL/2 mL), and LiOH(0.057 g, 5 equi.) was added and refluxed for 12 hours. Then, the reaction solution was distilled under reduced pressure to remove the solvent and treated with 1N HCl. The product was extracted with ethylacetate (10 mL). The separated organic phase was washed with NaCl solution, dried over anhydrous MgSO4, distilled under reduced pressure and dried under vacuum to prepare the titled compound, (2R)-2-[(2-(4-methoxyphenylthio)benzthiazol-6-sulfonyl)amino]-3-(4-(3-phthalimido-1-propyl)oxyphenyl) propionic acid (0.15 g, 80%).
