2-Hydroxyimino-2-(3-mesylamino-4-hydroxyphenyl)acetic acid (syn isomer) (1.37 g.) and dichloroacetyl chloride (0.9 g.) were treated according to similar manners to those of Preparation 5(1) to 5(3) to give 2-dichloroacetoxyimino-2-(3-mesylamino-4-hydroxyphenyl)acetic acid (syn isomer) (1.9 g.), which was used as a starting material for the following acylating reaction without further purification.
