Iodomethane (23 μL, 0.37 mmol) was added to a solution containing 3-benzyl-7-chloro-2-[2-methyl-1-(7-oxo-[1,4]diazepan-1-yl)-propyl]-3H-quinazolin-4-one and Et3N (51.4 μL, 0.37 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (5 mL). The resulting mixture was stirred at RT overnight, diluted with CH2Cl2 (5 mL), washed with brine, dried and concentrated under vacuum. Purification by flash chromatography on silica gel (1–2% CH3OH in CH2Cl2) gave the title compound (65 mg, 70%) as a pale yellow solid: MS (ES) m/e 453.0 (M+H)+.
