To a stirred solution of 2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-5-yl isocyanate (D3, 0.248 g, 1.5 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (20 ml) was added to a solution of 4-methoxy-3-(4-methylpiperazin-1-yl)aniline (EP 0533268A1, 0.309 g, 1.4 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (10 ml). After 18 hours a precipitate had formed which was filtered off, washed with CH2Cl2 and dried under vacuum to afford the title compound as a cream coloured solid (0.253 g, 47%).
