The methylation procedure of Example 77A is repeated, except that an equivalent quantity of ethyl 1,4-dimethyl-5-(p-fluorobenzoyl)-pyrrole-2-acetate (from Example 83) is methylated instead of the ethyl 5-(p-chlorobenzoyl)-1,4-dimethylpyrrole-2-acetate used in Example 77A, to yield ethyl 1,4,α-trimethyl-5-(p-fluorobenzoyl)-pyrrole-2-acetate.
