This compound was prepared in a manner similar to that of methyl 5′-Fluoro-2′-methoxy-4-nitro-2-biphenylcarboxylate (EXAMPLE 107) from methyl 2-bromo-3-methyl-5-nitrobenzoate (1.73 g, 6.31 mmol), (PPh3)4Pd (0.22 g, 0.19 mmol), and 5-Fluoro-2-methoxyphenylboronic acid (EXAMPLE 107) (1.50 g, 8.8 mmol) to afford 0.77 g (38%) of methyl 2′-Fluoro-5′-methoxy-6-methyl-4-nitro-2-biphenylcarboxylate. Data for 2′-Fluoro-5′-methoxy-6-methyl-4-nitro-2-biphenylcarboxylate: 8.61 (d, J=2.3, 1H), 8.27 (d, J=2.4, 1H), 7.09 (m, 1H), 6.91 (dd, J=9.0, 4.3, 1H), 6.73 (dd, J=8.2, 3.0, 1H), 3.70 (s, 3H), 3.69 (s, 3H), 2.19 (s, 3H).
