This compound was prepared in a manner similar to that of 5′-Fluoro-2′-methoxy-4-nitro-2-biphenylcarboxylic acid (EXAMPLE 107) from methyl 2′-Fluoro-5′-methoxy-6-methyl-4-nitro-2-biphenylcarboxylate (0.77 g) to afford 0.73 g (99%) of 2′-Fluoro-5′-methoxy-4-nitro-2-biphenylcarboxylic acid as a white solid, which was used in the next step without further purfication.
