Procedure
By reacting 1,2-dihydro-7-(2-heptyl)-9-hydroxy-4-oxo-4H-thieno[2,3-c] [1]benzopyran with methyl magnesium bromide in a procedure similar to that described hereinabove in Example 8, there is obtained 1,2-dihydro-4,4-dimethyl-7-(2-heptyl)-9-hydroxy-4H-thieno[2,3-c] [1]benzopyran. The benzopyran is then reacted with morpholinoacetic acid and dicyclohexylcarbodiimide to yield the desired ester.
