Procedure

A mixture of methyl iodide (0.4 ml, 6 mmol) and 3-(3-(2-propenyloxy)-1, 2,5-thiadiazol-4-yl)pyridine (3 mmol) in acetone (5 ml) was stirred at room temperature for 18 h. The title compound precipitiated from the solution and was collected by filtration to give 0.96 g (88%).
