Reaction Steps

To a solution of 3-hexyn-1-ol (980 mg, 10 mmol) and sodium hydride (240 mg, 10 mmol) in dry tetrahydrofuran was added a solution of 3-(3-chloro1,2,5-oxadiazol-4-yl)pyridine (450 mg, 2.5 mmol) in dry tetrahydrofuran. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 h. Water was added and the mixture was extracted with ether. The ether phase was dried and evaporated to give the title compound.
