Procedure

The title compound was prepared according to the procedure described in step 1 of Example 67 from methyl 5-chloro-2-fluorobenzoate and 3-methoxyphenol: 1H-NMR (CDCl3) δ 7.89 (1H, d, J=2.8 Hz), 7.41 (1H, dd, J=8.4, 2.8 Hz), 7.24–7.19 (1H, m), 6.95 (1H, d, J=8.4 Hz), 6.67–6.64 (1H, m), 6.53–6.49 (2H, m), 3.83 (3H, s), 3.78 (3H, s).
