To a solution of (N(CH3)4)2[PtCl4] or K2[PtCl4] in 5 mL of deionized water will be added the cyclohexanecarbonitrile (1 mmol). The reaction mixture will then be stirred for approximately 10 days. Solid will be filtered, and the filtrate evaporated to dryness. A small amount of acetone will be added to the residue, and solid filtered. The filtrate will then be evaporated to obtain the desired product.
