Procedure
To a solution of example 92 (120 mg, 0.21 mmol) in EtOH (20 mL) was added 1N NaOH (0.63 mL, 3 eq.) and the reaction was stirred at 70° C. for 2 h. Another 3 eq. of 1N NaOH was added and the reaction stirred for an additional 2 h at 70° C. When all of the starting material had disappeared, the reaction cooled, evaporated to dryness, taken up with 1N HCl, the precipitate collected and washed with water. The precipitate dried under vacuum to afford the title compound as a yellow solid (110 mg, 96%).
