Procedure

To a solution of example 102 (50 mg, 0.5 mmol) in EtOH (20 mL) was added excess of a 1N NaOH solution and the mixture was stirred at 60° C. for 2 h. The reaction was cooled, evaporated to dryness, the residue taken up with water, neutralized with 1N HCl to pH 7 and then extracted with CH2Cl2. The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4, filtered and the solvent removed under vacuum. The residue was then chromatographed eluting with CH2Cl2 (100%) then CH2Cl2/MeOH (98/2) and finally CH2Cl2/MeOH (95/5) to afford the title compound as an oil (10 mg, 20%).
