Procedure
Hydrazine (5 eq) was added to a solution of (tert-butoxy)-N-{1-[3-(1,3-dioxobenzo[c]azolin-2-yl)propyl]-4-(4-ethylphenyl)pyrrol-3-yl}carboxamide (1 eq) in abs. EtOH at 50° C. for 2 hours. The reaction developed a white precipitate which was filtered off. The EtOH was concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was taken up in CH2Cl2 and the precipitate was filtered again. The organic solution was evaporated to a yellow solid containing product and solvent. Assumed a quantitative yield.
