Add a solution of acetyl chloride (0.078 mL, 1.1 mmol) in absolute ethanol to a solution of (S)-5-[3-(2-methoxy-ethyl)-piperazin-1-yl]-8-trifluoromethyl-11H-12-thia-6,11-diaza-dibenzo[a,f]azulene (0.10 g, 0.22 mmol) in absolute ethanol and isolate the precipitated solid by suction filtration. Dry the solid under reduced pressure to give the title compound (0.095 g). Exact mass spectrum (ES+, m/e, C23H23F3N4OS.2HCl): calc. 461.1623 (M+1-2HCl), found 461.1613.
