N-(3,5-dichloropyrid-4-yl)-4-methoxy-8-(2-ethoxy-2-oxo-ethylamino)-dibenzo[b,d]furan-1-carboxamide (Example 52) (100 mg, 0.204 mmol) was hydrolysed using potassium hydroxide (5 eq.) in 3 ml water and 3 ml methanol for 12 h at room temperature. The solid precitated was filtered and washed with ethanol to obtain the product as pale yellow solid (50 mg). mp: >260° C.
