210 mg of 6,7-dihydro-2H-benzo[6,7]cyclohepta[cd]indazol-8-ylmethanol obtained in Example 1-h was treated by the procedure of Example 1-f using 500 mg of manganese dioxide, to give 210 mg of the title compound as a colorless powder.
