Following General Procedure B above using N-(3,5-fluorophenylacetyl)-L-alanine (Example B) and 3-amino-4-methyl-ε-caprolactam (General Procedure —C), the title compound was prepared as a mixture of diasteromers. The reaction was monitored by tlc on silica gel (Rf=0.18 in 5% MeOH/dichloromethane).
