Procedure

A stirred solution of the product of step (c) (16 g) and 10% palladium on carbon (1 g) in acetic acid:ethanol (1:1, 150 mL) was placed under an atmosphere of hydrogen at 20° C. for 24 hours. The reaction mixture was filtered through a pad of celite and the solvent was removed in vacuo to give the title compound (11 g). Mass spectrum m/z 382 [MNH4+]
