Reaction Steps
Methanesulfonyl chloride (0.148 g, 0.0013 mol) was added dropwise a solution of N-[2-(4-amino-3-benzyloxy-phenyl)-ethyl]-2-(3,5-dibromo-4-methoxy-phenyl)-acetamide (0.712 g, 0.0013 mol) in 6 mL of pyridine. The reaction mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature, diluted with 10 mL of chloroform, washed with 1N HCl and 1N NaOH, dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated. A residue was crystallizedfrom ethyl acetate-hexanes mixture. Yield 0.635 g (78%).
