The Boc-aminopropanol-acetylsalicylic acid obtained above (0.814 mmol) was dissolved in dichloromethane (1 ml), and 4 N hydrochloric acid/ethyl acetate (3 ml) was added thereto under ice-cooling, followed by stirring for 2 hours. After confirming disappearance of Boc-aminopropanol-acetylsalicylic acid by TLC, diethyl ether was added thereto. The thus formed precipitate was centrifuged, and the supernatant was subjected to decantation. The thus obtained precipitate was dried under reduced pressure to give 213.9 mg (yield 96%) of the titled compound. The structure was identified by 1H-NMR (CDCl3).
