The Boc-amino-1,5-pentanediol-ketoprofen (1.95 mmol) obtained above was dissolved in dichloromethane (1 ml), and 4 N hydrochloric acid/ethyl acetate (4 ml) was added thereto under ice-cooling, followed by stirring for 3 hours while gradually returning to room temperature. Hexane was added to the reaction solution, and the thus formed white precipitate was centrifuged. The thus obtained precipitate was dried under reduced pressure to give the titled compound (1.20 g, yield 98%). The structure was identified by 1H-NMR (CDCl3).
