The Boc-amino-1,2-propanediol-ketoprofen (1.76 mmol) obtained above was dissolved in dichloromethane (1 ml), and under ice-cooling, 4 N hydrochloric acid/ethyl acetate (4 ml) was added thereto, followed by stirring for 3 hours. Hexane was added to the reaction solution, and the thus formed white precipitate was dried under reduced pressure to give the titled compound (1.029 g, yield 97%). The structure was identified by 1H-NMR (CDCl3).
