Under ice-cooling, 20 mL of 4 M hydrochloric acid/ethyl acetate was added to 1 mL dichloromethane solution of 825.0 mg (1.82 mmol) of the Boc-propylamide-diclofenac obtained above, followed by stirring for 2 hours. Diethyl ether was added thereto for precipitation, and the precipitate was dried under reduced pressure to give 714.5 mg (101%) of the titled compound. The structure was identified by 1H-NMR.
