Reaction Steps

To a stirred solution of the crude 2-(2,6-Dimethyl-4-morpholin-4-yl-phenyl)-3H-benzoimidazole-5-carboxylic acid in 10 ml of DMF was added 900 mg of 4-chlorobenzoic acid hydrazide, 1.1 g of EDCI and 700 mg of HOBT. The reaction was stirred at room temperature under nitrogen atmosphere for 5 hours. The reaction mixture was diluted with water and the resulting precipitates were collected by filtration and purified by column chromatography (DCM:MeOH=20:1) to give the title compound.
