3-[4-(4-Chloro-benzoyl)-piperazin-1-yl]-4-hydroxy-pyrrolidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester was dissolved in CH2Cl2. 4M HCl/dioxane (150 mL) was added. The mixture was stirred at RT for 4 h. White precipitate was formed. The mixture was diluted with ether, filtered. The white solid was washed with ether and dried to give desired product (99% yield). 1H-NMR (300 MHz, DMSO, HCl salt): δ 3.0-4.0 (m, 12 H), 4.85 (m, 2 H), 7.25 (d, 2 H), 7.54 (d, 2 H) Retention Time (LC method: formic acid polar): 1.01 min. MS (M+H+): 310
