Procedure
The culture broth was adjusted to pH 3.0 with addition of sulfuric acid and then loaded on a cation exchange resin, DIAION SK1BL (Mitsubishi Chemical) so that L-lysine should be adsorbed on the resin. After the adsorption of L-lysine, the resin was washed with water, and L-lysine was eluted with aqueous ammonia. The eluent containing L-lysine was then concentrated in a rotatry evaporator until L-lysine concentration became 50% by weight to obtain an L-lysine base solution.
