Reaction Steps
To a solution of Example 188A (102 mg, 0.26 mmol) in a mixed solvent of methanol (2 mL) and tetrahydrofuran (2 mL) was added 2N NaOH (300 μL, 0.6 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at ambient temperature for 2 hr, and then acidified with 600 μL 1N HCl. It was partitioned between ethyl acetate and water. The organic layer was washed with brine, dried over MgSO4, and concentrated in vacuo to provide the titled compound as white solid (95 mg, 100%).
