Reaction Steps

The product of step (e) (1.3 g, 3.39 mmol) was dissolved in 1:1 HOAc:water (40 mL), treated with Zn dust (0.44 g, 6.79 mmol), and heated to reflux for 1 hour. The reaction was cooled, diluted with water and extracted 2× EtOAc. The organic extracts were dried over MgSO4 and concentrated to give 0.76 g of the sub-title compound.
