The title compound (1.81 g, 52%) was prepared from (RS)-2-(methoxy-methyl-carbamoyl)-4-methyl-piperazine-1-carboxylic acid dimethyl-ethyl ester, D54 (2.9 g, 10.1 mmol) and benzofuran (0.74 g, 10.1 mmol) using the method of Description 2.
