N-(1-cyanocyclopropyl)-2(R)-[2,2,2-trifluoro-1(S)-(4-fluorophenyl)ethylamino]-3-(pyridin-3-ylmethylsulfanyl)propionamide was dissolved in MeOH (3 mL) and OXONE® (460 mg, 1.5 mmol) in H2O (3 mL) was added. After stirring at rt for 2 h, the solvent was removed and the residue was extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was dried with MgSO4 and the solvent was removed under reduced pressure. The title compound was purified by Prep-HPLC.
