Reaction Steps
1 mmol of 3-(3-nitrophenyl)-3-{2-[5-(4-methylpyridin-2-ylamino)pentanoylamino]acetylamino}propionic acid trifluoroacetate from Example 6 is dissolved in 10 ml of water, and 0.1% HCl solution is added dropwise. The solution is freeze dried. The procedure is repeated several times. 3-(3-nitrophenyl)-3-{2-[5-(4-methylpyridin-2-ylamino)pentanoylamino]acetylamino}propionic acid hydrochloride is obtained, RT* 17.53 min, FAB-MS (M+H)+ 458.
