then adding a quantity of 2M aqueous sodium hydroxide (for quantity see Table 29) at the same temperature as the stearic acid dispersion with stirring over a particular time (see Table 29 for the time of addition) thereby producing a clear solution with a pH of about 9.2 substantially containing sodium stearate;
