A solution of 100 mg (0.21 mmol) of 7-[3-(N-tert-butoxycarbonyl-3-chlorobenzylamino)propyl]-3a-fluoro-1,2,3,3a,5,9b-hexahydrocyclopenta[c]quinolin-4-one and 223 mg (0.55 mmol) of Lawesson's reagent in 15 ml of THF is refluxed for 1.5 hours. After concentration by evaporation in a vacuum, the residue is purified by column chromatography with hexane-ethyl acetate: 80 mg of product.
