A solution of (4-amino-2-chloro-pyrimidin-5-yl)-(2,3-difluoro-6-methoxy-phenyl)-methanone (120 mg, 0.40 mmol, Example 289) and 4-amino-benzenesulfonamide (260 mg, 1.51 mmol, Aldrich) in isopropyl alcohol (30 mL) was stirred for 2 hours at 150° C. in a sealed pressure bottle. The reaction was cooled and poured into water (˜60 mL) and the resulting precipitate was filtered and air dried. This residue was purified by silica gel chromatography (2% triethylamine/ethyl acetate) to give 4-[4-amino-5-(2,3-difluoro-6-methoxy-benzoyl)-pyrimidin-2-ylamino]-benzenesulfonamide as a white solid.
